Two Years

Friends, two years ago today I said "I Do" to my best friend. October 16th, 2016. It is one of the greatest days of my life and it will forever be the best decision I have ever made.

That being said....

Yesterday, October 15th, 2018, I'm browsing Facebook. As I'm scrolling, I see a friend of mine had posted about her two year anniversary. I thought, oh wow, they got married the day before we did!

It was then I realized it... TOMORROW was my anniversary.

You guys... I forgot my own anniversary. Of course Mr C remembered. I turned to him and said, "did you know our anniversary is tomorrow?"
He replied "Yeah, the 16th right? *pause* Did you forget??"

Yes, my dear husband. Yes I did.

Luckily, he did not take offense to my forgetfulness. In fact, he reminded me that we really don't need a specific day to celebrate our relationship. We both reflect quite often on how grateful we are for each other.

So, my love, I want you to know the following things. I think I tell you this, but just in case:

1) I love YOU! I love you for who you are and who you're becoming. You are a wonderful husband, father, provider, lover 😉, friend. The hardest worker I know. You are smart, funny and handsome. I love spending time with you and I'm so proud to be your wife.

2) I appreciate you. The sacrifices you make for our family don't go unnoticed. And one day, all the sacrifice will pay off. Literally. And when you get home from work, you still sacrifice. Your help with laundry, dishes and the baby is amazing!

3) I miss you when you're gone. You're still my favorite person! I love doing fun things with you as much as I love doing the mundane with you.

4) I will always choose you. Choose to love you, honor you and respect you. Every day I will choose you. Even the hard days. Even on the days when I don't like you, I will still choose to love you.

Enough with all that sappy stuff.

Pictured, you will see the cake I made and then subsequently dropped. Because that is a real life anniversary. Then there are a couple from our wedding and honeymoon, as well as my "married lady coffee mug", as I so fondly call it.
